Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Hot Dogs

The classic American cookout treat gets a remake with this bacon-infused recipe!
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 hot dogs
- 2 jalapeños, seeded and sliced
- 6 slices bacon
- 6 hot dog buns
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- Guacamole for serving
- Preheat oven to 400º.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Set aside. Melt butter in a skillet over low heat. Add onions and salt. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring often until onions are soft and browned.
- Place a line of sliced jalapeños along one side of a hot dog and carefully wrap with bacon. Use toothpicks to secure in place. Place hot dogs on wire rack and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until bacon is cooked. Remove toothpicks and serve on buns with caramelized onions, cheese and guacamole.
