 Grilled Honey Dijion Drumsticks

We are making our own homemade honey Dijion sauce to baste over grilled chicken. The sauce only takes 5 minutes to come together and is a perfect combination of sweet and savory.

Grilled Honey Dijion Drumsticks

Ingredients
  • 12 chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Directions
  1. Heat a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Combine honey, ketchup, brown sugar, vegetable oil, water, vinegar,
  2. mustard, paprika, soy sauce and garlic powder. Bring to boil then reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once the sauce is thick and bubbly, remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  3. Preheat grill.
  4. Season chicken with seasoned salt and pepper. Place chicken on grill coated with cooking spray. Grill for 15 minutes on each side. Baste chicken generously with sauce and grill for 1 minute. Turn chicken, baste again and cook for 1 minute. Serve with remaining sauce.
